The Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requires schools to monitor minors’ online content and behavior, safeguard their data and protect them from online dangers and inappropriate or illegal content. The act requires schools use web filtering technology to block categories of images, but web filtering is not enough. Without additional cybersecurity technology to detect and stop threats, hacks and misuse, it’s impossible to keep students and their data safe in their learning environment - whether it's at home or at school.
